Mr & Mrs C

"In 2001 we were fortunate enough to have our town garden designed and planned by The garden design Co.  We had little idea of what could be achieved, although we had some idea of what we would like.  From the outset they listened to our suggestions and incorporated them into the design. They sourced the materials and contractors for us and gave us a clear indication of prices.  To be able to hand the whole project over was marvellous and relieved us of a lot of stress and worry.  The final plan that was chosen incorporated our initial ideas with many improvements, including lighting, which was not something we had even thought about.

Having your garden taken apart and put back together again is quite an upheaval but The garden design Co and the contractors were extremely efficient, tidy and always available.

Three years on we have a garden that we can enjoy throughout the year, even on a winter's night and we have no hesitation in recommending The garden design Co to others".

'Kerrie's design for our garden has blended the natural country surroundings with our requirements and her own ideas.  The clever use of paths and screening has developed different areas within the garden, yet an overall natural garden feel has been maintained through the use of coordinated planting, along with the sympathetic use of materials.  Without disrupting the country feel, a natural stone paving area and pergola have been built into the design. This has made better use of the garden and made it appear significantly larger, as well as providing us with a large entertaining area.  The quality of the work is superb and we would not hesitate in recommending The garden design Co to anyone who is looking for their perfect garden."

"When I first met Kerrie John from The garden design Co, I gave her what might have seemed to be a rather dispiriting brief.  A tiny suburban area of walled garden that I wanted completely replanted in a manner that would mean as little upkeep as possible and yet not be merely full of dull evergreen shrubs.  I also asked if there could be variation in height, leaf shape and colour, autumn and winter interest and climbers for the walls.  I also gave a budget and a time frame.   A beautiful, to scale, garden plan was drawn up.  All was planted and the budget and timing were adhered to.  The garden still changes but the underlying structure has proved to be excellent.

I find Kerrie to be very knowledgeable, very hands-on-practical, lovely to deal with and excellent value for money!".
